We are pleased to introduce Jewels to Charities, an innovative program that enables individuals to sell their diamonds, precious colored gemstones, fine estate jewelry, gold and watches, and then donate all or partial proceeds to one of Boston's great charities.
Shreve, Crump & Low will provide the funds and expertise to purchase the items and ensure a strong fiduciary process to assure all sellers that they are realizing the best prices for their pieces. Sellers will be able to select the charity of their choice and at the same time to maximize the highest tax deduction available.
David Walker, Chief Executive Officer of Shreve, Crump & Low, commented, "This novel approach marries the public's appetite for selling gold and jewelry with their desire to support Boston's vital non-profits organizations." He added that Shreve, Crump & Low has a history of contributing to many of the organizations participating in the launch of Jewels to Charities and that he was thrilled to be able to broaden this support. The non-profits include:
Boston Ballet,
Boston Living Center,
Children's Hospital Boston,
Emerald Necklace Conservancy,
Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Centre,
The Greater Boston Food Bank,
The Joey Fund/Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the
